Sd.Kfz.251/2 Ausf. D z zamontowanym możdzierzem 8 cm GrW 34/1. Sądząc po wielości zbóż zdjęcie wykonano w sierpniu 1944 roku w okolicach Nieporętu.
Relatively rare view of a Sd.Kfz.251/2 Ausf. D mounting an 8,cm GrW 34/1 – the initial clue being the missing MG shield. If you look closely the mortar tube is just visible inside the vehicle with its cover fitted, roughly above the “3” of the tactical number. The vehicle belongs to 5.SS Pz Div and the mature grain crop & burning farm indicates the photo was taken in late July-August 1944 during it’s time in Poland.
